Services for you

Welcome to Michelson Stables, located in Carbon, Alberta. We are a family-run operation that strives for success, whether it be in the show ring, teaching a new rider or starting a colt.

Here at Michelson Stables we pride ourselves in being versatile, with our horses competing successfully in a variety of events. We offer training, board, lessons and clincs. Our facility is comprised of a 70' x 160' indoor arena, 96' x 176' outdoor pen, 60' round pen, heated sale barn and show barn that is attached to the indoor arena. All turnout pens are constructed of steel pipe, to maximize safety and minimize maintenance.

Board

At Michelson Stables, we offer both inside and outside board.

~ Inside Stalls: $400/month

~ Outside Pens: $240/month

~ Stallion In and Out: $400/month

Training

Our training program here at Michelson Stables is diverse. Whether you are looking to have a young horse started, prepare for the show pen, or have your horse tuned up, we offer a training program tailored to your horse.

PROGRAMS:
* 60 day minimum program for two year olds
* 90 day program also available
* Six months & longer for show and performance horses

~ Training: $210/week including board
~ Stallion Rate: $235/week including board
~ Training is billed at 4 week intervals.

* SPECIAL COLT STARTING RATE:
Unstarted 3 year olds: $1000/month (for the first 2 months)
Unstarted 4 year olds: $1200/month (for the first 2 months)

Lessons

Here at Michelson Stables we offer lessons for riders at all levels, whether just starting out or getting ready for the show pen, we can help you accomplish your goals and dreams.

~ $40/lesson on own horse
~ $50/lesson on one of our horses

Clinics

Michelson Clinics Greg Michelson has put on several clinics in the area, ranging from beginner level to more advanced reining clinics.

* $750/day plus expenses

Showing

Greg Michelson has won numerous titles and events in the show ring. If you are looking for someone to show your horse in the Open and Limited Open events, we can help you get there.
